Dear friends and colleagues,
The COVID-19 pandemic has posed a huge impact on our health and wellbeing as well as daily life and research activities. Nobody knows when the COVID-19 will come to an end, but we know science needs to keep moving forward. In light of this, the 21st International Congress of International Society for Ethnopharmacology (ISE) will be held from May 28th – 31st, 2022 as a hybrid (virtual and physical) meeting (Ethnopharmacology 2022).
Let’s stay connected! The “Ethnopharmacology 2022” in Taichung, Taiwan, features the main theme: “Ethnopharmacology—Translating and Integrating Traditional Medicine into Clinical Practice”. This will be a new and exciting experience. We provide opportunities for those who can come to attend the congress and visit Taiwan. For those who cannot travel, this is still a good opportunity to exchange science and communicate with scientists from all over the world. The scientific program of the “Ethnopharmacology 2022” will include plenary lectures, keynote lectures, short lectures, and workshops. Virtual poster sessions can provide opportunities to interact and discuss with each other. Moreover, we offer travel grants to 20 foreign graduate students and junior post-doc fellows, including registration fee waived and compensation of the incurred travel cost.
Taiwan has successfully contained the pandemic with effective public health measures, big-data analysis, AI-assisted technology, and people’s cooperation, allowing life to return to near-normal. Taichung, the 2nd largest city in Taiwan, has a pleasant climate, highly developed commercial district, historical sites, cultural scene, friendly people, and beautiful scenery, making it a hot spot for traveling, sightseeing, and both indoor and outdoor activities. China Medical University (CMU) in Taichung, Taiwan is the university where western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine sit side by side. We arranged campus tour and excursion to visit Taichung and nearby scenes. Hope you enjoy your visit, either virtual or in-person.
On behalf of the International Society for Ethnopharmacology (ISE) and China Medical University, Taiwan, we welcome you to the Ethnopharmacology 2022!
Let’s keep science moving on! Looking forward to meeting you.
